Storm Intercept Summary

If I had to rethink my plans for chasing today, after what I know now, I probably would have stayed home.  My original plans were to chase in Northern Kansas, but the farther north I drove, the more these plans changed.
I ended up chasing some tornado warned storms west of Lincoln, Nebraska.  Yeah, I know.  You are asking yourself why I was chasing near Lincoln, Nebraska, if my plans took me to Northern Kansas.  That's just the way things work out when storm chasing.  You find an initial target, and usually you have to adjust your actual target to get to the storms.
Today was a hard chasing day.  It was difficult to pick up on exactly where the storm's updrafts were located, as these areas were constantly changing on the different storms I saw today.  I did get to see a couple different wall clouds, throughout the day.
The best part of today was being treated to an awesome lightning show on my way back to Salina, Kansas, where I stayed overnight for the hyped- up day of chasing tomorrow.
