I finally found the time today to fix the clickable Forecast Map on my website. Thank you David Maugans for keeping after me to get the map working again. The National Weather Service changed the links to the individual city forecasts so it took me awhile to correct the problem on my page. If there is anything that does not work on the page, you can email me at russparsons1@gmail.com

The Southeast Kansas Weather website is still under construction, with many more photographs and chase logs being added daily. I also just figured out a way to put CoCoRaHS maps onto my website, and I will likely add a page for Rainfall/Climate information in the near future. Below is a CoCoRaHs map for Crawford County Kansas stations.

Photographs are slowly coming back online on this website. I have started with the older photographs and I have photographs through mid 2006 uploaded to their new server. My storm chase photographs can be accessed by clicking on the "Storm Chase Logs and Photo" link at the top of each page of my site. This link here will take you to the site where all my photographs can bee seen. I have plans to upload my train pictures and vaction pictures on the same site. Just click on the photo gallery you want to view. Make sure you bookmark my photo site https://russelparsons.smugmug.com/, as I will be adding new photos quite often. Also, some of the storm chase logs are now back online, so make sure you read through what it is like to be out there chasing Mother Nature!!

Today I added several new animated radar images on the Radar/Satellite page of my website. You will be able to get a better snapshot of any precipitation occurring in the Southeast Kansas area. I also added a visible image of the GOES 16 weather satellite. You will need to scroll to the bottom of the Radar/Satellite page to see the image. GOES 16 is the cadillac of weather satellites, as it has a much higher resolution than any of the previous weather satellites. Keep in mind that GOES 16 is still in the testing phase of the project, so the image on my website may not always be available. If the image does not show up on the Radar/Satellite page, just click inside the red box, and it will take you to another website with more GOES 16 imagery. I will be adding to the satellite portion of my website when more products become available! Stay Tuned!!!

I added the Zoom Radar map at the bottom of the front page. This map will show my location when I'm out chasing storms. A red car icon means I'm not live streaming the chase at that time, and a green glowing car icon means that you can see what I'm seeing. Many great things will continue to come to this website! Stay Tuned!

I got another domain for this website, and it is effective as of today. You can access this website from the web address of www.sekweather.com or for the time being you can still access it at www.seksweather.com. I have been meaning to change it for quite some time, but just now got around to it. Both web addresses will get you to the same Southeast Kansas Weather website.
I continue to fix dead links and eventually I will get all my weather pictures back onto the website. I just have to find out how I'm going to host them. Like I said before, if you have any ideas of how to improve the site please shoot me an email!

Many dead links have been fixed on this website, and a redo of the front page is finished. If anyone wants anything else on the site, you can contact me through the contact button on the front page. Don't forget to follow Southeast Kansas Weather on Facebook and Twitter!! I update the Facebook page quite often!
